ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION
Photoactivated Platelet Rich Plasma (PAPRP) for erectile dysfunction and penis enhancement. Penile enhancement injections comprise the use of both photoactivated platelet rich plasma (PAPRP) injections with immediate post injection negative pressure. Photoactivation is the use of a light source to enhance the PRP, reduce inflammation post injection and increase the activity of the regenerative cells found in your own blood.

PAPRP injections are safe. By using your body’s platelet rich plasma (PRP), there is no risk of allergic response because it is from your own body. PRP has been used in medicine for decades. PRP is used in regenerative medicine for bone grafting and post orthopedic and plastic surgery reconstruction. In aesthetic surgery, it is used as a natural skin filler and skin rejuvenation. Additionally, PRP is used for hair restoration, post laser resurfacing, and G-spot injections for females. Hospital operating rooms have had this technology for years, originally using it for coronary bypass surgery to accelerate the healing process and formation of new blood vessels. With technological advances, the instrumentation is now available for physicians in outpatient clinics.

PRP regenerates skin, blood vessels, nerves, and growth using the stimulated platelet derived growth factors. PRP therapy results vary because every man’s genetic potential for healing is different. However, PRP therapy has the potential to increase sensation of the penile skin, improve erection, diminish inflammatory conditions of the penis (i.e. Peyronies Disease), and sometimes increase length and girth by stimulation of growth factors.

A new technology is now available that uses peripheral blood stem cells obtained from the patient. It is more advanced cell therapy and is call PBSC treatment or VSEL ( very small embryonic like cells ) that are more powerful and require one treatment. The cost is more but may be a better clinical option for some patients depending on their specific condition. Often diabetes and Erectile dysfunction are linked so a combined therapy is possible using intravenous application and direct injection to the penis.

Technique:

  1. A small quantity of blood is drawn from the patients arm. The blood is then centrifuged with a specific sterile technique to isolate and concentrate the thrombocytes (platelets). These are like balloons full of growth factors.
  2. Topical anesthetic cream is applied to the pubic region. Then local anesthesia is injected into the pubic skin to numb the shaft of the penis.
  3.  Shockwaves may also be applied prior to injection if the physician prescribes.
  4. Concentrated platelets (PRP) are then injected into the corpus cavernosum of the penis, 2 times per week for 3 weeks.                                                                                             penis1
  5. Immediate negative pressure pump is initiated with a penis pump.

Negative pressure is important, if delayed, the PRP returns to general circulation within a patient’s body. Immediate pumping produces the trauma to the platelets to activate or release the growth factors and cytokines. Daily pumping is necessary to produce microtearing within the corpus cavernosum continuing the growth factor stimulation. PAPRP Penis injection therapy benefits may include:

  1. Improved sensation
  2. Improved appearance
  3. Improved length and width
  4. Improved nerve function
  5. Improved circulation
  6. Improved skin health

Many men report improvements within days after the procedure. To amplify the response, PAPRP therapy can be performed every 60 to 90 days or until desired results are achieved.
